Itajime shibori baby blanket, and how much I hate photography.

I made this blanket for a friend’s baby.  A single layer of heavy weight super soft brushed flannel, approx. 30 x 40″– a nice size and fabric for swaddling the bebes (or so I hear, never having swaddled myself).   I did a tiny hand rolled hem that I will photograph next time I make one, it adds a nice finish.  Nicer I think on a single layer blanket than a folded machine sewn hem. I did not iron before I photo’d, t’was not quite this uneven but there was a bit o’ wonk.

This picture is terrible.  I must admit that part of the terror for me of blogging is photography.  I hate it, always have.  I don’t know quite why, there is something about holding a camera in front of my face that makes me immediately impatient and anxious to get the whole thing over with.  So, I’m going to get better.  Because I have to.  I think you can get the jist of the design if not of the object.   Awesome.

err…

My first post.  I would like to say I’ve been meaning to do this forever and ever.  Now I’m doing it. that is all.
